Most water damage to older homes is due to improperly installed flashing and house wrap, as can be seen from these pictures. The deck flashing allowed water to flow behind the house wrap causing the entire corner of this house to rot.

 

Remodeling

Remodeling has become our specialty, from 100 year old buildings to the 1980's "Saltbox". We work closely coordinating with you and local designers to make simple modifications to your home, modernizing it and making it more energy efficient. Our attention to detail is unsurpassed.

"This 100 year industrial building was remodeled in to a luxury home."   This home is the epitome of "GREEN" where we used reclaimed wood from other buildings for the 14ft living room ceiling. All bricks removed for windows were recycled to create a fireplace hearth and window sills as well as accents. Energy efficient appliances include on-demand gas hot water heater and dryer. Glass transoms were installed above all doors to allow natural light through out. Heated marble floors in the bathrooms keep it comfortable during cold winter mornings.

"This remodeling project consisted of completely gutting the interior of this unit.  Through the creative eye of Emily Washington (Interior Designer) we added wall sconces and accent lights, removing walls and opening up the unit to capitolize on the water view.  Pocket doors with glass transoms above replaced traditional swing doors to reduce wasted space.  The kitchen now boasts custom bamboo cabinets with granite counters and Onyx mosaic tile backsplash.  The master bath now has clear vessel sinks mounted on granite counters."
